Poonam was born in Srinagar and started her education there. She studied in Saraswati Shishu Mandir till 2004 there. Her father was in a job so got transferred and she completed her further studies at Saraswati Shishu Niketan High School, Baijro till 10th standard. Then she completed her 11th and 12th classes at the government inter-college Baijro, in 2012. She was interested in Arts but she took science (Biology) subjects under the pressure of family.
In 2013, she completed her Diploma from the Shree Dev Bhoomi Institute of Education, Science & Technology, Dehradun.
In Dehradun, she worked in a clinic for a year. Later on, she moved to Delhi and got another job in Kailash Hospital, Noida Sector 27. After a year, she changed her job again. After that, she resigned from her current job and started a vlog channel on YouTube under her name “Poonam Bisht”. She has the desire to open a medical shop.
